Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared the official launch trailer for Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, the latest and darkest chapter of Sanctuary. The new expansion arrives on April 28, 2026, bringing along two new classes: the Paladin and the Warlock.
The stoic Paladin draws upon the Light to invigorate their burning desire for justice. Reinforced by Oaths and the Wardens of Light faction to bolster their strength, the Paladin is an indomitable force for righteousness. Read on to learn more about this stalwart class, their divine abilities, and powerful Uniques to cleanse the scourge of demonkind from Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, Warlocks are dark, relentless casters who bend demons and the powers of Hell to their will. Hell itself is the source of their power, conjured through ritual, alchemy, and spellcraft. The Warlock is not a servant of Hell; they are its bane, using its unholy fruits against itself.
It takes natural-born insight, exceptional willpower, and rigorous training to resist the temptation of corruption. Even the best can fail. They roam the world as ragged outcasts, scavenging their forebears’ knowledge—some seeking mastery over their inner demons, others hunting demons where they rise. Read on the origins of Warlocks in the official blog post.
“The hour of reckoning approaches. Finish the fight against Mephisto, master the new Paladin and Warlock classes, discover major skill tree updates, and explore an overhauled end game when Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion arrives on April 28th.”
