Developer Blizzard Entertainment took to the official site to share Diablo IV 2025 Roadmap, outlining the team’s plans for the future of the game.
“The Age of Hatred kicked off with the launch of Diablo IV and Lilith’s resurrection and was protracted by Mephisto’s resurgence in Vessel of Hatred. Throughout 2025, you will experience the spread of Mephisto’s influence through new seasonal themes and questlines as we draw closer to the release of our second expansion in 2026.”
- January – April: Witchcraft. Witchcraft powers, quests & reputation board, headhunts activity, occult gems, earnable Raven pet. Permanent Additions: New Armory, Whispers QoL Update;
- April – July: Belial’s Return. Boss powers, quests & reputation board. Apparition Incursion activity. Earnable Feline pet. This is also when Diablo IV will get a new IP collab and celebrate it’s 2nd anniversary. Permanent additions include: new lair bosses (Belial, Urivar, Harbinger) and their QoL, Reliquaries, Season Journey Update.
- July – September: Sins of the Horadrim. Horadric powers, quests & reputation board. Dungeon escalation.Earnable pet. Permanent additions feature new nightmare dungeon activities, console KB&M support, and more.
- September – December: Infernal Chaos. Chaos-themed powers, quests & reputation board. Infernal Hordes update. Earnable pet. Another new IP Collab.
- 2026: new expansion, new ranking system, leaderboards, and more.
The developers promise core system updates to both the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey, ensuring these features evolve in ways that are more rewarding.
