Supermassive Games shared a new gameplay teaser of the upcoming survival horror game Directive 8020. The short video is titled “White Rabbit” and shows Brianna Young, who inspects the tight venting system tunnels. Something is lurking in the tight space lit by the dim light, and this enormous entity waits for the moment to strike. The teaser leaves a mystery of Brianna’s survival unsolved, as contact with her is lost.
Directive 8020 is a cinematic horror sci-fi adventure from the creators of Until Dawn and The Quarry. The game tells a story of the Cassiopeia starship crew, who landed on the unexplored planet. The expedition that meant to bring hope to humanity swiftly turns into a fight for survival. When the team realizes that they are far from being alone, it’s already too late to turn back. The evil organisms haunting the ship can mimic their prey. However, the true horror isn’t the creatures in the shadows, but the tough choices the crew has to make.
The game promises an immersive cinematic experience with real-time threats. The players will have to use different objects as improvised weapons to escape the aliens and survive. Moreover, the foes can take the form of the different crewmates, thus none can be trusted on this ship. In this setup, every choice the players make can lead to different outcomes. This system is executed in the form of a ‘Turning Points’ story tree, which features multiple endings.
