Disney+ has officially landed on Meta’s Quest virtual reality headsets, giving subscribers a native app experience that turns your VR device into a personal cinema. As of December 15, 2025, the app is available for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S headsets in the United States, with an international rollout expected in early 2026.
This means Disney+ subscribers can now browse and stream their favorite movies, series, and specials, from Pixar and Marvel to Star Wars and National Geographic, directly through their Quest headset without relying on browser workarounds. The app is available for download from the Meta Horizon Store, just like any other Quest title.
The integration goes beyond simply mirroring a screen. On supported Quest headsets, Disney+ taps into VR’s immersive potential, offering content in a virtual theater-style environment. Select titles are available in Dolby Vision 4K HDR, and Disney+ Premium subscribers can also enjoy Dolby Atmos audio support for even richer sound quality. Everything from animated favorites to blockbuster films will feel more cinematic, even when watching from home.
At launch, the Disney+ app on Quest supports the full U.S. catalog and Meta’s infrastructure, including the updated Horizon TV hub, which integrates streaming with other services in a single interface. While the initial release is currently limited to the United States, broader availability in additional regions is expected in early 2026.
This rollout marks a significant step toward mainstream adoption of VR streaming. For years, Quest owners could only access Disney+ through browser tricks or secondary apps, often with limited quality and compatibility. Now, the official native app delivers high-quality video, integrated features, and the convenience of watching directly in virtual reality, whether you’re catching up on the latest Star Wars series or enjoying holiday favorites with a larger-than-life virtual screen.
Disney+ requires an active subscription, and the availability of HDR and Atmos features may depend on your subscription tier. With streaming services increasingly prioritizing immersive platforms, this marks a fresh convergence between VR and mainstream entertainment – Quest owners may never watch shows the same way again.
