Bungie has announced the start of Season of the Deep in Destiny 2. The new season brings a host of new activities, weekly story missions, a new dungeon, Crucible updates, and much, much more. In addition, PlayStation Guardians can pick up a specially-themed ornaments and gear bundle that “brings iconic characters and worlds from multiple studios into Destiny 2.”
Bungie released a new trailer to show off what players can expect with the arrival of the new season.
The journey begins when players head back to Titan to check out a strange signal coming from below the surface of the methane sea. Season Pass owners will have access to weekly Deep Dive missions, the new Salvage Seasonal Activity, and the new Fishing activity.
Later today, a new dungeon will unlock for Guardians ready to “plunge into the deep for a fresh challenge and a chance to obtain new treasures.” This is the first of two new dungeons coming to the game in 2023. Players will need to own the Lightfall + annual pass or the Lightfall Dungeon Key in order to participate.
PlayStation bundle
Releasing today alongside the Season, Guardians now can outfit their characters with armor ornaments and finishers inspired by PlayStation favorites Aloy, Kratos, and Jin Sakai. Other fan-favorite game items are also available through Eververse on all platforms, such as a Clicker Ghost Shell, Sparrow, and ship—there’s even an emote inspired by Ratchet & Clank’s gold bolt.
