October Prime Gaming giveaways include more Tomb Raider, some Witcher, and a cool musical RPG.
Prime delas might be capturing all the headlines this week but subscribers to the Twitch owner’s Prime subscription service can grab a bundle of games for a sizeable 100% discount this month. All you’ll have to do is log in, have an active subscription, and claim the likes of Tomb Raider: Legend, and No Straight roads.
Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider: Legend is yet another free tomb plundering game from Amazon, following the exploits of the iconic archaeologist Lara Croft. Released in April 2006, it revitalized the franchise with updated graphics, improved gameplay mechanics, and a compelling storyline. Players embark on a globe-trotting adventure across exotic locations, encountering challenging puzzles, intense combat sequences, and breath-taking exploration. The game was well-received for its cinematic presentation and engaging narrative. Tomb Raider: Legend was initially launched on PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360, but you can grab it now and relive those sneaky traps and dank tombs.
No Straight Roads
No Straight Roads is a vibrant musical escapade that follows the life of an indie rock band. Instead of partying all night and trying to put together gigs, most of your time will be spent battling the EDM empire ruling Vinyl City. As winter creeps in, just stay inside and play Scarf. Another of the October Prime gaming free games, Scarf is an atmospheric and emotional journey about what it means to be a hero. Leaping into a gorgeous 3D platforming adventure you’ll take the role of a nameless little hero. Paired with a colorful dragon scarf, leap and lounge across a variety of environments. Open deserts and chilling tundra hide secrets and excitement, and maybe a little danger. Sole puzzles using a range of transformations and abilities, all tied to your little red partner. Ultimately a charming and fun title that will warm your heart even if it’s snowing outside.
The latest releases also include free copies of Hive Jump 2: Survivors, a sci fi bullet hell roguelike, Spirit of the North, another gorgeous 3D exploration adventure, and The Eternal Cylinder, a surrealist mix of exploration and evolution.
Luna
October means a few scares too and Amazon Luna has that covered. The online streaming game service has a new selection of games to pick up and play this month. Just log in, connect a controller, and stream across the internet on any compatible browser.
Alien Isolation
Just in time for the 10th anniversary of this title, Prime subscribers can spin up a space station full of terror. Creep through the corridors of the Sevastopol station, where every shadow could be your last. Craft resources, stay quiet, and maybe the Xenomorph won’t find you. Just remember not to breathe too hard.
Mortal Shell
A dark fantasy single player RPOG where you possess the dead, try to battle through fearsome odds, and die. A stylish roguelike that will be the end of your free time.
Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine
Forget the bloody 2D platformer that made Meat Boy an indie icon. Instead get puzzling in the lab with the infamous Dr. Fetus. Match meats, dodge dangers, and try not to become ground beef in this addictive puzzler in an inventive match 3, or more, game that is a tad messier than the alternatives.
