Don’t Miss A Chance To Visit Arrakis During The May Dune: Awakening Beta

The Dune: Awakening Beta will take place from May 9 to May 12.

If you haven’t already heard, Funcom has a spicy teaser prepared for anybody taking on Arrakis, with a new Dune: Awakening beta. Due to hit PC and consoles on May 9, players can experience the beauty and danger of this upcoming adventure and try out the first 20 hours of the game and most of the story’s first act.

Step into a world created by Frank Herbert and brought to life by Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment’s award-winning movies. See an alternative reality where things went very differently for the galaxy’s most powerful families and survive on your own abilities. Get a feel for what’s coming to screens with the latest large-scale beta for this new take on Dune. Players have a chance to get access to the Beta weekend by going to Dune: Awakening’s Steam Page where they can Wishlist and request access, or by getting one of tens of thousands of Beta codes that will be given out during the Global LAN Party Broadcast.

Grabbing a code from the broadcast is straight forward. The Global Dune: Awakening LAN Party Broadcast will be streamed from both London and PAX East. Keep an eye out on social media and the official Dune: Awakening website for specifics. As of now, the team behind the event has confirmed that it will feature lead developers exploring the game world and checking in with special guests as they detail what’s coming.

Dune Awakening is a stunning new survival adventure based on an alternative timeline on the iconic sands or Arrakis. The sci-fi scenes from the recent big screen version of the influential novel are brought to PC on 20 May, as players get to explore what might have been, survive a brutal landscape, explore, craft, come together and seek out the mysteries of Spice. Players will get a chance to explore a variety of environments in this adventure, find out more about the Fremmen, and go deeper than they imagined as they struggle to survive, walk the tightrope of factional rivalries, and thrive among the sands of Dune.
