Moving back to the turn of the 20th Century and leaping into a high energy adventure full of intrigue and spectacular secrets.
Players heading into Unknown 9 will take the role of a Quaestor born with the ability to venture into the Fold: a mysterious dimension that overlaps our own. While this tale’s protagonist, Haroona, might think an exciting path lies ahead, her exploration draws the wrong type of attention. As players learn to master the Fold and channel its powers into our world, a dark organisation sets its gaze upon her. The Ascendants, a splinter faction of a secret organization known as the Leap Year Society, which wants to use the Fold to alter the course of human history.
Drawing inspiration from an age of adventure, this fantastical quest challenges players to master Haroona’s umbric abilities to defeat the Ascendants and seeking revenge. Players can choose to ambush opponents from the shadows, engage in melee combat, or “step” into foes to take control of their bodies and weapons. This twist on the traditional stealth and magical abilities allows players to dodge bullets, shield attacks, hurl energy, and turn enemy weapon on their owners.
