Coming under the title Don’t Starve Elsewhere, the game continues the main idea of the original, throwing familiar characters into new environment. However, the developers didn’t name the release date or even window yet.

Preserving the original art style, the game expands the world into different dimension, offering players new challenges. This time environment and weather become even more hostile, and each mistake leads to death. The players can explore the world and new bioms alone or with friends, but none of the options guarantees an easier journey.

- Multi-Tiered Wilderness: Players climb mountains, swim across rivers and seas, and explore cave systems. Environments include procedurally generated biomes with endless dangers and resources.
- Climate Systems: Each biome features unique weather conditions. Rainstorms, high-altitude cold, and territorial creatures present ongoing hazards.
- Fog Mechanic: A spreading Fog curses the landscape. Players must decide whether to flee from it or risk their sanity to uncover its secrets.
