Arcade rally racing is heading back to consoles this summer. Pixel Perfect Dude and PM Studios have announced that #DRIVE Rally will launch on June 18, 2026 for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The console release will be available both digitally and physically, giving collectors something to park on their shelves alongside their old-school favorites.
Originally released on PC in April 2025, #DRIVE Rally quickly carved out a niche on platforms like Steam thanks to its personality-driven presentation and unapologetically retro sensibilities. Instead of chasing ultra-sim realism, the game leans into the golden era of 1990s rally racing, when exaggerated slides, punchy stage design, and arcade pacing ruled the road.
At its core, #DRIVE Rally is built around accessible handling that is easy to pick up but difficult to truly master. Players tear through stylized locations like Dry Crumbs, Holzberg, and Revontuli, each crafted with bold colors and a slightly tongue-in-cheek tone. The vibe is less gravel-physics dissertation and more high-speed love letter to a bygone era.
One of the game’s standout touches is its co-driver system. Rather than a monotone voice barking directions, #DRIVE Rally pairs you with a personality-packed partner whose banter adds humor and heart to each stage. It is a small detail, but it gives the experience character in a genre that can sometimes take itself very seriously.
Customization also plays a major role. Players can tweak and tune their vehicles to match their driving style while chasing leaderboard times and bragging rights. It is arcade-first in philosophy, but there is enough depth under the hood to keep competitive players engaged long after the first podium finish.
“From day one, #DRIVE Rally struck a chord with players on PC thanks to its accessible, arcade-first gameplay and unmistakable throwback style,” said Michael Yum, CEO of PM Studios. “Racing has always been a genre that shines on consoles, and bringing #DRIVE Rally to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch feels like the perfect way to celebrate competition, nostalgia and the joy of collecting great games.”
Wishlists and pre-orders will open soon on console storefronts. In the meantime, the PC version remains available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
