Eastward Octopia Announced During Wholesome Showcase

Eastward Octopia Announcement Adds New Adventures To Switch and PC

Pixpil and Chucklefish joined the lineup at yesterday’s The Game Awards’ Wholesome Snack showcase, adding a DLC to indie favorite Eastward. The new add on for 2021 RPG will come to Nintendo Switch and PC on 31 January, and we’re escaping to the country.

The news that we’re heading back see Sam and John also came with a gorgeous looking trailer. It follows this pair as they head out to begin a peaceful farming life in a parallel world free of hardships and the toxic miasma that dominates Eastward. In this land, the duo settles down to live the good life by visiting an old farmstead and turning a dilapidated patch into a vibrant working home.

You’ll be able to toil in the soil, meet the locals, form friendships, grow crops, and throw together culinary feasts. This slice of life sim won’t expect players to have finished the base game. Instead you’ll be able to grab the DLC and jump straight into this other world from the main menu. If this is anything as charming as the original, or the newly announced Snacko, then its sure to do well. Eastward Octopia will launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch on 31 January for $5.99 / £4.99 / €5.89. You can already wishlist it now on the official Steam Store.
