The team behind Enshrouded shared some pretty exciting news: the game reached an impressive 4 million players milestone! The announcement comes together with the reveal of the next major update, Thralls of Twilight, the sixth content update for the Early Access. It is slated to arrive in May, bringing new resources, enemies, and more!
“It’s been almost 15 months, 5 major content updates, 7 patches, and over 20 hotfixes since Enshrouded launched into Early Access — still, players have provided “almost overwhelming” suggestions or ideas for further improvements”, according to Creative Director Antony Christoulakis at Keen Games. “It’s impossible to answer them all, so instead, we’ll just say ‘thank you so very much’ and organize them by how often or how passionately they are requested” to influence the game’s overall direction while under development.
In Thralls of Twilight, the four million Flameborn will fight against new enemies that creep, crawl and stalk after them. To deal with them, you will need to enter the Shroud to find new resources. On your way, you will also be able to unlock the weapons customization mechanics.
The update will also offer enhancements to the nighttime cycle: there might be plenty of reasons to have your Flameborn stay up late with enemy groups that roam the world at night and new rewards to be found – what will you find in the dark before it finds you?
