Developer Yellow Brick Games released a new update for action-adventure Eternal Strands. Having teamed up with Suda51 and Tadayuki Nomaru from Grasshopper Manufacture, known for the No More Heroes series and upcoming Romeo is a Dead Man, the studio co-developed stunning original cosmetics for Brynn.
In case you didn’t try the game yet, Eternal Strands is a fantasy action-adventure that tells the story of Brynn, a young but fearless Weaver out on a journey to recover her people’s cultural home. It’s up to you to use powerful magical abilities and a diverse arsenal of weapons to take on enemies that range from humanoid constructs to towering beasts.
This partnership brings the Gallant heavy armor set and Parasite weapon recipes, which reskin the Kinetic Bow, Frost Sword & Shield, and Flame Two-Hander. The game also received new Codex Entries, unlocking 4 4 new dyeing-only materials upon completion.
But that is not all! Players are in for new quality of life features and bug fixes as well:
Gameplay
- Walking on bridges made with Ice Wall has been improved.
- Using the Watcher’s Wisp while in range of a marker will highlight it.
- Brynn will lose less stamina when clinging onto Epics while they attack.
- When an Ember Servant is within an Ensnaring Blast, the Ensnaring Blast will now detonate after the Ember’s Servant explodes.
- Bow weapon abilities can now be used while in Magic casting stance.
- Target lock in now implemented for Celestial Scope.
UI & Quality of Life
- Total amount of resources you own are now shown when viewing resources in your loot bag and selecting items for your safety pouch.
- Loomgates have been reordered in the destination menu in a more intuitive way.
- Weapon and armor tooltips now show bonus power levels.
- Stat updates of weapon changes can now be previewed in the gauge.
- Quest icon is anchored to screen borders when not in view. This option can be toggled off in the Options menu.
- Powers in the Power Wheel are greyed out if you don’t have enough mana to use it right away.
Settings & Controls
- Brightness calibrator screen enabled on consoles.
- Option to swap Jump & Dodge controls on gamepads for all three controller schemes.
- Option to disable or change the size of our custom Eternal Strands cursor (PC only).

Bug Fixes
- Various tweaks and bug fixes for air attacks with the Two-Hander weapons.
- Tweaks to Frost Bow weapon ability targeting.
- Two-Hander damage increased for Story Mode difficulty.
- Fixed an issue with the Frost Sword & Shield and Frost Two-Hander weapon abilities not working properly in Story Mode.
- Small tweaks to Brynn’s bare fisted attack combo.
- Fixed a crash when loading a save file while in Starlight Cape.
- Fixed various issues with the Watcher’s Wisp when tracking codices.
- Fixed an issue where the Spindle disappears after talking with the Axle.
- Fixed an issue in Upper Dynevron causing the player to respawn in a chasm.
- Fixed certain chests spawning in the ground.
- Fixed an issue causing loot to fall inside of props.
- Fixed damage number spam when Celestial Scope hits ice.
- Fixed various clipping with armor sets and weapons.
- Ark of the Arbalest’s ranged attack adjusted: if it fails a ranged attack 3 times, it will move somewhere else.
- Fixed an issue where the Ark of the Nova gets trapped near the Hallowpyre Shrine.
- Fixed an issue with certain Epic creatures spawning indefinitely in Starlight Cape.
- Fixed an issue where the game would not be centered on start-up when in Windowed Mode.
- Various other minor bug and crash fixes.
