CD Projekt Red has great news for fans eager to learn more about Phantom Liberty, the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion. Earlier this week, Narrative Director Igor Sarzynski and Senior Communication Manager Pawel Burza took to the airwaves in a new trailer. Viewers are treated to an 18-minute look at characters, events, and locations that will be featured in the expansion. The visuals are enhanced by the pair discussing how each is designed and the importance of each to the overall narrative.
In the expansion, players once again take on the role of V, a mercenary cyberpunk. They embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States who is in grave danger after her orbital shuttle is shot down. Her luck is horrid as the wreckage lands in the deadliest district of the Night City. Sarzynski and Burza deep dive into the story that features espionage and political intrigue. “The stakes are larger than life, but so is the reward — your very survival!”
