Coming from Campfire Cabal and THQ Nordic, Expeditions: Samurai is an upcoming party-based RPG where every choice matters. The game is set in our world during real historical events, with an intricate, branching story and a vibrant cast of characters. The game enters Early Access on August 7, 2026.
In Expeditions: Samurai you play as Flynn, although you’d be able to further customize your character by choosing their first name, sex and appearance. Additionally, there are four classes that will decide your approach to combat.
The vessel Albatros has brought your crew to Japan – a land strange to you, full of dangers and challenges, but also the opportunity to meet new allies… and maybe even new friends. If you can earn their trust, that is.
There are eight companions: the skilled burglar Antje, who excels at stealth and has a knack for cracking open doors and locks; Johan, a relative of the late captain and just as arrogant as he is deadly with a sword; Tora-Hime, the Onna-Musha seeking her place in history or Étienne Durand, the priest who serves as the diplomatic superhero of your crew.
