Octarine Arts has announced Finch & Archie, a hard-boiled, Depression-era murder mystery with co-op support. Players take on dual roles either as Jack Finch or his faithful police dog, Archie. The goal is, of course, to collect all the clues to solve a case involving a mass murderer plaguing the “grimy streets of 1930s America.”
Before that can happen, however, Jack Finch must come to terms with his new partner, a freshly graduated police dog that he wants nothing to do with after a disastrous past with other partners.
A new trailer shows off the gritty action as the pair rushes to discover the murderer’s identity before all hell breaks loose.
Features include
- Co-op Play: Finch & Archie is a two-player co-op. You can choose to be either weathered detective Jack Finch or good boy Archie. Please don’t fight over who gets to be the dog.
- Character-specific Skills: Use either your magnifying glass or your excellent sense of smell to find and gather evidence that will help you with your case.
- Interrogation: Witnesses and suspects can be wily! Question their motives, find out their alibis, and use evidence to catch them in a lie.
- Communication: Because you are a human-dog partnership, communication does not come easy. You will have to be creative to explain your findings to your partner. The mystery cannot be solved without sharing evidence between yourselves.
Fans of detective mysteries will want to check out the Finch & Archie Steam page and add the game to their wishlists. Currently, the goal is a Q4 2025 release date. Keep your eyes peeled!
