Flashback 2, the sequel to the iconic sci-fi adventure, is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
A new trailer, a familiar threat, and a whole new adventure for anybody returning to Titan today. Flashback 2 is out now. The follow up to one of gaming’s most iconic titles is back. Publisher Microids, Paul Cuisset, and the studios Microids Lyon and Microids Paris are taking us back into future where a vast alien conspiracy threatens humanity, and I’s up to you to stop it.
First announced in 2022, the second mainline entry in this franchise follows the agent Conrad B. Hart. This lowly human hero is searching for his lost friend but comes up against a vastly bigger problem than a missed transport. The United Worlds is under threat from a Morph invasion. Led by General Lazarus, this insidious group of aliens pits one man and the truth against an army.
While the original relied on some exquisite rotoscope animation back in 1992, this update won’t need to lean on decades old graphics. A fully 3D environment transforms familiar territory like Titan and New Washington into a thriving mix of high tech and ambient jungles with plenty of modern updates. A fluid and intricate platform shooter should provide plenty of challenge, while Conrad’s A.I.S.H.A. combat AI will help take down the most menacing alien interlopers. We’ve been waiting to see if this version of Flashback lives up to the original. Now you can find out too. Check out the trailer above, and head over to the official website to find out more.
