Flight simulation fans will soon have a major event to look forward to as FlightSim Weekend 2026 prepares to take over the historic Aviodrome Lelystad in Lelystad on March 21–22. The annual gathering has grown into one of the largest events dedicated entirely to flight simulation, drawing thousands of enthusiasts, developers, and hardware manufacturers from around the world.
Hosted in the aviation museum complex, FlightSim Weekend blends hands-on technology demos with community meetups and presentations from companies across the flight sim ecosystem. Organizers expect nearly 5,000 attendees this year, all eager to try the latest flight simulation software, hardware peripherals, and cockpit setups. With a wide range of exhibitors showcasing everything from full-scale simulator rigs to new aircraft add-ons, the event has become a key meeting point for the global flight sim community.
Many major developers and hardware brands are expected to appear at the show floor, including teams working with Microsoft Flight Simulator, which remains one of the most popular platforms in the hobby today. Visitors can expect hands-on demonstrations, community panels, and opportunities to meet the developers behind many of the tools and add-ons used by virtual pilots.
One of the companies returning to the show floor is Honeycomb Aeronautical, which will attend as a Titanium Sponsor. The company will host a dedicated Honeycomb Hall at Booth 10, located next to the Microsoft Flight Simulator booth.
The Honeycomb team plans to showcase both its established hardware lineup and some upcoming products, giving attendees a chance to test multiple simulator configurations across five different demo stations. With five stations, each one featuring different Honeycomb peripherals, gamers will get a chance to see how Honeycomb can fit into their cockpit. Attendees will also get a preview of new hardware. A third station will feature the unreleased Foxtrot Takeoff Kit, allowing visitors to try the product and provide feedback before its official launch. Honeycomb also has a couple of surprises in store, with hints that Xbox flight sim users will want to stop by the booth.
With its mix of software developers, hardware manufacturers, and passionate hobbyists, FlightSim Weekend has become a must-attend event for the flight simulation community. From cockpit builders and airline enthusiasts to casual players exploring their first yoke setup, the convention offers something for every type of virtual pilot.
