Fortnite‘s world is expanding with the arrival of Survive the Storm update on August 29th. It will include a brand new game mode of the same name, mutant storms with unique rewards and challenges, weapons, heroes and more.
The threat is only here for a limited time, so players are encouraged to jump in to see if they can survive the storm and earn some exclusive loot!
Survive the Storm in Fortnite
The limited-time game mode will test even the most experienced players. After gatherings resources through the day, players will have to fight increasingly more difficult threats every night.
Limited-time mutant Storms will have modifiers like enraged husks or limited health. However, players can receive some very special loot during these Storms.
The update will also introduce the hydraulic weapon set.
Scavenged from the industrial yards of Plankerton, and rebuilt into husk-destroying machines, these nine high-impact weapons can only be acquired by earning tickets as players complete mutant storms.
