11 bit studios has announced the release of the latest DLC for Frostpunk 2 titled “Fractured Utopias.” PC players can pick up a copy of the content expansion for $12.99, and the base game is required to play. The base game is, however, on a huge 40% off sale, making it only $26.99 for the game with “Mostly Positive” reviews on Steam.
According to the team, this DLC expands the eight existing factions in Utopia Builder Mode to “make them feel more integral to this mode.” The main menu has been redesigned from the ground up, thanks to a year’s worth of feedback from the playerbase. Now the builder includes unique faction identities, new laws, over 100 fresh events, and buildings.
In addition, owners of the base game also get a Free Content Update with a new map and Centrist Policies for existing laws. No DLC purchase is required.

Fractured Utopias features
- The DLC features an overhauled starting menu where you pick from 8 already known factions, each shaping the future direction of your city. Your selection defines the kind of Utopia you’ll aim to create.
- Depending on which path you choose to forge your Utopia, the look of your City will adapt to it. Build new Hubs and Housing Districts, now dedicated to each of the 8 existing factions. Use them to unlock new benefits that help you survive the Frost.
- City Unbound and Unique Tales features have never seen before in any existing strategy game. They are narratively framed gameplay twists – stories that explore how ideology holds up under extreme pressure.
