Open-world RPG Genshin Impact is back with the teases of new characters to join the Traveler in Song of the Welkin Moon. The first on the list is Lauma, a priestess of the Frostmoon Scions, and the little genius inventor Aino. However, they’re not the first Nod-Krai character overall that we got to meet, that honor falls to Ineffa.
Lauma – Dendro
“Under our Moonchanter’s most benevolent watch, no innocents or animals shall come to harm… *sigh* Or so I would like to say, but should the law of the jungle falls away, some sharp-fanged beasts will surely be starved the taste of flesh.” — Nefer
The Frostmoon Scions, whom Lauma associates herself with, are said to be the indigenous residents of the land. However, they do not fit in with the Nod-Krai of today, stuck with their ancient ways and moon worship. Having received only silence in return time and time again, Lauma stepped out from beneath the shade of the trees, into the light of the moon.
And so the congregation bowed before her radiant antler-crown and silver-blooded totem. Thus was she anointed the agent for an absent god.
Lauma has a much more palpable pure fantasy vibe compared to other teased characters. If anything, she feels like she could fit in with very early Genshin.
Aino – Hydro
The genius creator from the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, Aino lives life by a simple creed: Invent interesting mechanical wonders for fun, and when not tinkering away, enjoy the best snack in the world — Ineffa’s freshly-baked krumkakes.
However, not all are lucky enough to meet this genius mechanic. Any who do not appreciate her creations will see the Craftshop’s door slam shut in their face. So, before flooding her with endless new requests, maybe shower Aino’s designs with some well-deserved praise first. Otherwise… Well, wouldn’t it be a shame if disgusting krumkakes started popping out of your next mechanical device for whatever reason?
“You wish to know how to make friends with Aino? Analyzing data… Generating answer. First: Say no to savory krumkakes. Second: Admire Aino’s inventions. Third: Play with Aino often.” — Ineffa

Flins – Electro
A new tall man is coming to Genshiin, put away your memes, pitchforks and torches, this is not a drill!
Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins, or simply Flins, is a warrior of the Lightkeepers. There used to be more of them — seven or eight in his squad — but now, only Flins remained, guarding the cemetery near the lighthouse.
Compared to other Lightkeepers, he speaks with an air of elegance, avoiding personal questions and instead talking about distant, unrelated matters. Flins has a way of recounting events with perfect measuredness, just as in conversation, never excessive. He invariably selects tales perfectly tailored for public retelling.
“Sir Flins lives in a lighthouse, far away from here. He’s decisive in action and seems quite tactically adept… or so I hear? Sorry, I can’t say for certain — I’m a new joiner and have never worked with him directly. Everything I’ve heard comes from the Starshyna… You want to know what I think about him? I suppose… He’s a man with many stories. Don’t you find it strange how a warrior like that carries himself with such a refined air? And then there’s his expertise in using his eloquence to get what he wants…” — Illuga
