Developer HoYoverse is back with the new Genshin Impact trailer, focused on the day of the tournament when Varesa woke up and chose violence. While her coach Insan is waiting for her at the tournament grounds, Varesa had enough time and energy to sleep in, participate in a food eating competition, beat up some hilichurls and still make it on time.
Want to bet that she will also win the tournament, making her coach exasperated but proud?
“In theory, getting enough rest, proper warm-up, and a full stomach are what one needs to prepare before entering any competition. But what troubles her coach is that Varesa often fails to follow through on these preparations — because she oversleeps, rushes to the venue, and gets lured away by whatever food she encounters along the way…”
Varesa is a 5-star Electro Catalyst user who uses Plunging Attacks to trigger her Fiery Passion state. While in this state, she deals more Electro DMG, and can access a special Elemental Burst with reduced Energy cost. To quickly enter this state, Varesa can tap her Elemental Skill, then follow up with Normal Attacks to perform swift Plunging Attacks. Additionally, her unique talent helps restore Phlogiston after the party consumes food. As her Tribal Chronicle will reveal, Varesa is only fierce in battle, and leads a daily life almost far too laid-back.
Her debut banner in 5.5 will coincide with the release of Iansan (4-star Electro Polearm) and the first rerun of Xianyun (5-star Anemo Catalyst). They are also accompanied by some superb 4-stars. If you ever wanted to build a mighty Plunge team, this is your best bet!
