Genshin Impact Version 5.5 is just around the corner – so much so that you can already start the pre-load. To bring players up to speed, developers HoYoverse shared a new blog post dedicated to new banners and events. Let’s check them out!
Version 5.5 promises a lot of exciting new additions. First and foremost, Travelers will be able to check out the last remaining clan of Natlan: the Collective of Plenty. The update will also introduce two new playable characters: both Varesa (5-star Electro Catalyst) and Iansan (4-star Electro Polearm), belong to this tribe and feature in its story, as does the new type of Saurian, Tatankasaurus.
On March 26th, prepare to venture to the Great Volcano of Tollan and the ancient sacred city it hides. Built by the Dragonborn, it is slowly roused from its slumber by the restless roiling of magma beneath. Descend into the depth to unravel the mystery of the “Flamelord’s Blessing” and the enigma surrounding your little saurian companion.
Genshin Impact – Version 5.5 Phase I Banners:
If you ever wanted to build a Plunge team but didn’t know where to start, this is the perfect moment. The new banners feature two powerful Plunge DPS: the new 5-star Varesa (Electro Catalyst) and the returning 4-star Gaming (Pyro Claymore). Additionally, it is also packed with powerful supports: Xianyun (5-star Anemo Catalyst), Chevreuse (4-star Pyro Polearm) and, of course, Iansan herself (4-star Electro Polearm).
Not to mention, the weapon banner is packed to the brim with limited Natlan 4-stars in addition to Varesa’s and Xianyun’s signatures.

Genshin Impact – Version 5.5 Phase I Events:
- Tournament of Glory in Bloom flagship event (March 28 to April 14). Complete various minigames and gameplay modes to receive a free copy of Ororon (4-star Electro Bow) as well as obtain Primogems, Crown of Insight, and much more!
- Unlimited Fighting Championship (April 7 to April 21). Travelers need to utilize special buffs during battle to deplete as many of the boss’s HP bars as possible to earn higher level medals and rewards.
- Overflowing Favor double Artifact Domain reward event (April 14 to April 21).
- Limited-time Tribal Chronicle quest rewards. Complete the quest within the specified duration (before April 15th) obtain additional Primogems, character ascension materials, level-up materials, and more.
- Limited-time exploration quest. Complete the corresponding exploration missions related to the new Natlan areas, Atocpan and Ancient Sacred Mountain, to obtain an additional reward of Primogems x400.
