While the community is waiting for the arrival of the Song of the Welkin Moon saga, developer HoYoverse shared a new notice regarding Genshin Impact PS4 version and the device performance requirements.
In short, Genshin Impact PlayStation 4 version will stop receiving support and updates in the future. The removal and discontinuation will roll out in three phases: game removal, in-game purchases delisting, and end of update support. Note that the PS5 version will continue to operate normally.
- PS4 Game Removal: starting from September 10, 2025, Genshin Impact on PS4 will be removed from the PlayStation Store. After this date, the accounts that never downloaded the game on PS4 will no longer be able to search for and download it from PlayStation Store.
- In-Game Purchases Delisting: starting from February 25th, 2026, all in-game purchases for Genshin Impact PS4 version will be removed from both the PlayStation Store and the in-game shop.
- End of Update Support: starting from April 8th, 2026, HoYoverse will officially cease all update support for Genshin Impact on PS4.
- Binding Other Login Methods: starting from December 17, 2025, when you open Genshin Impact on PS4 a binding prompt will appear periodically on the game interface.
