The Genshin Impact team is back with a new animated short ‘Memories of This Life’, dedicated to the First of the Fatui Harbingers: the Captain. Note that there are direct references to the ending of the latest Archon Quest, so if you haven’t completed it yet, you might want to avoid this video!

At first, the Captain arrived to challenge Mavuika to a duel and contest her plan to save Natlan, which made him seem as an ominous figure and the latest antagonist. However, over the course of Natlan’s storyline, he proved to be an honorable warrior that held his duty in the highest regard and wished to protect both what remained of his homeland, Khaenri’ah, and Natlan alike.
In the end, it was his persistence, conviction and strength of will that saved the day.
At the moment, the game is going through Version 5.3 Phase I. The debut banners of Citlali and Mavuika are currently ongoing, so don’t miss out!
