The developers of open-world RPG Genshin Impact have revealed that Version 5.5: Day of the Flame’s Return special program will premiere on March 14th. Tune in to the official Twitch and YouTube channels at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) to learn the first details about the update, upcoming characters, events, and more! As per tradition, the team will also drop a few promocodes with Primogems, so don’t miss out.
Judging from the reveal and the previously shared information, Version 5.5 will introduce the last missing tribe: the Collective of Plenty, which claims both Iansan and Varesa. Both are new Electro characters joining the playable roster in the upcoming version, so you can expect to see the first glimpses of their gameplay during the livestream.
Varesa is a completely new face. Although she had been mentioned a few time by various characters, this will be the first time we come face to face. She is the only person to win against the Pyro Archon Mavuka, with their challenge being an eating contest. Meanwhile, Iansan was in fact the very first Natlan character we had ever seen – all the way back in the Teyvan Travail trailer you can find below. She is also one of Natlan’s six legendary heroes who prevailed against the Abyss together with Pyro Archon Mavuika and the Traveler.
At the moment, Genshin Impact is going through Version 5.4 Phase 2, featuring the long-awaited reruns of Furina and Wriothesley.
