The developers of open-world action RPG Genshin Impact have been on hand to share what’s to come in Version 5.6. And it’s time to take a step back from Natlan and return to the familiar sights: the windswept plains of Mondstadt, the busy streets of Fontaine, and the underwater splendor of Remuria. However, things are not as lively as they might seem…
Genshin Impact Version 5.6 “Paralogism” will be released on May 7, 2025.
“Seek the origin of spices in a single spoonful of soup, and the path to light amidst the shadows. Perhaps those who rise to the challenge will find themselves one step closer to the truth.”
In Version 5.6: Paralogism, Travelers will return to Mondstadt. However, instead of the usual homey Windblume celebration, it’s the new Archon Quest Interlude chapter that covers an unexpected storm. The lively festival takes a turn for the worse as an unexpected trial places Albedo in the crosshairs of all.
Travelers will find themselves thrown into an investigation and more alongside Venti, familiar faces from the Knights of Favonius, new allies like Dahlia, as well as the Hexenzirkel’s very own Lady Alice. Are you ready to pass her trial to secure her support and defend Mondstadt? Then no time to talk, prepare to play chess!
Meanwhile, the Version’s main event will take us to Fontaine. The Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland will give players a chance to flex their management skills and see some familiar faces such as Navia, Ifa, Ororon, and others. Participating in mini-games and activities will provide you enough points for bountiful rewards, including the exclusive 4-star bow ‘Sequence of Solitude’.

Escoffier’s combat style blends culinary flair with elemental power. Her Elemental Skill allows her to summon the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek, which can either stay in place to absorb Elemental Attacks and prepare food items, or follow the active character to serve up continuous blasts of Cryo DMG. Beyond dishing out damage, Escoffier also brings reliable support to the table. Her Elemental Burst heals allies, and both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst reduce enemies’ Hydro and Cryo RES, an effect that strengthens with more Hydro or Cryo teammates.
Meanwhile, Ifa soars into battle alongside his Qucusaurus companion, Cacucu. This skilled sauro-vet can rain Tonicshots on his foes while healing teammates, and summon a wind current that pulls in enemies to control the battlefield. While in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Ifa boosts Swirl and Electro-Charged DMG based on the party’s Nightsoul Points. With his sharp medical instincts, Ifa can also automatically heal the active character when their HP falls below a certain threshold, ensuring his team stays healthy and strong in the heat of battle.

- Operation Downpour Simulation – in a corner of the Court of Fontaine, Turenna and Enghiene have set up a new tabletop wargame.
- Legends Ablaze: Cross-Border Brawl – near the territory of the Children of Echoes, an artist named Vigee is pioneering the latest in “crossover challenges” with her innovative “interactive woven scroll” technology.
- Chronicles of Shifting Stratagems – challenge foes and obstacles of all shapes and sizes.
- Ley Line Overflow – double rewards from the Blossoms of Wealth and Blossoms of Revelation.
