Developer HoYoverse announced the date of the upcoming special program, dedicated to Genshin Impact Version 5.8: Sunspray Summer Resort. Mark your calendars: it kicks off on July 18th at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) on the game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
During the stream, the developers will share juicy details about the new content and developments, including any possible new zones, characters, events, and more! Players will also get the first updates regarding the banners and some redemption codes while at it. With 5.8 likely the last patch of Natlan, there might also be some new info about Nod-Krai, the next region in line. Stay tuned!
The team also shared an overview of the new features coming to the game, including one-click time skip for quests & character talent demo videos:
- If the quest requires you to wait for, say, 2 days before continuing, this is where the new feature kicks in. No more do you need to open the clock, adjust the pointer, and wait. Starting in V5.8, you can simply click to navigate to the quest objective to automatically jump to the required time.
- Additionally, after V5.8 you will be able to access audio settings during quest dialogues.
- The material tracking interface will display character icons for those who can detect local specialties in the region.
- If you’ve already marked one Oculus location, you can consume another Resonance Stone to mark a new one. The new location will replace the previous mark.
- When a fully levelled 5-star Artifact has a highlighted main affix and a certain number of highlighted minor affixes, it will be marked with a special icon.
