Developer HoYoverse shared the details about Genshin Impact – Version Luna III Phase I, including the update’s banners, events, and more.
Version Luna III continues the story of Nod-Krai. With Rerir gone and the danger seemingly behind us, it’s time to celebrate the Moon-Praer Night. This festival marks the time when the moon is the closest to Teyvat and the final night before the Damselette journeys back to her home. Two witches from the Hexenzirkel, Alice and Nicole, will join the festivities as well. However, their arrival is not entirely about letting loose.
The upcoming patch will introduce two new characters: Durin (5-star Pyro Sword) and Jahoda (4-star Anemo Bow). But that is not all, a number of older Mondstadt characters are also getting enhancements through the new Hexerei system. So what better time to rerun the Mondstadt character of all time, Venti?

Durin, a 5-star Pyro Sword wielder who possesses two distinctly different combat forms, and can be served either as a team support or a strong damage dealer. Once a dragon from the fairytale world of Simulanka, Durin was later granted a human body through Albedo’s alchemy and the transfer of the dragon Durin’s heart energy. This unique origin grants Durin dual powers: One reflects the pure soul of Simulanka, supporting the team by reducing enemies’ Elemental Resistance and dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
The other is imbued with Abyssal energy, excelling at unleashing devastating attacks on single targets and boosting his own Vaporize and Melt reaction DMG. Completing Durin’s Story Quest will reveal more secrets about the dragon and Hexenzirkel, and gain a special outfit reward for Durin.
Jahoda, the new 4-star Anemo Bow wielder, joins the adventure as well, showcasing her exceptional talents in team-healing and absorbing Elements to deal corresponding DMG.
Genshin Impact – Version Luna III Phase I Events Include:
- New Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon Act V: A Nocturne of the Far North & Act VI: Melting Moonlight in the Morning Mist – Celebrate Moon-Prayer Night before Damselette returns to the moon, with the unexpected arrival of Alice and Nicole from the Hexenzirkel.
- Limited-Time Archon Quest Rewards – complete the Archon Quest within the specified duration to obtain an addition reward of Primogems x500.
- Limited-Time Story Quest Rewards – complete Durin’s Story Quest “Draco Rubedo Chapter” to obtain additional Primogems, Character Ascension materials, and more.
- New Gameplay – Witch’s Homework. Complete the quest to obtain The Little Witch’s Dictionary and invite Fischl, Sucrose or Razor to join your party. Completing the assigned homework will unlock the corresponding character’s additional Talent and buffs.
- Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey (December 19 to January 5). A unique event is being held in Mondstadt: the Dragonspine International Cross Country Challenge, and you simply can’t sit this one out! Take part and obtain the event-exclusive weapon, Rainbow Serpent’s Rain Bow.
- Bing-Bang Finchball (December 5 to December 15). Somewhere in Atocpan, the adorable animal expert Basima the Fifth introduces a brand-new Finch-themed pinball game to everyone.
