The newest Genshin Impact update, Version Luna III: A Nocturne of the Far North, arrives on December 3 with new characters, weapons, events, buffs, and more!
With the defeat of Rerir, the entirety of Nod-Krai can relax and breathe easily, just in time for the Moon-Prayer Night. This festival marks the time when the moon is the closest to Teyvat and the final night before the Damselette journeys back to the moon. Not only the familiar locals will participate, but some unexpected figures from afar as well, including the two witches from the Hexenzirkel: Alice, Klee’s mother, and Nicole Reeyn. Or, could their arrival be related to other purposes?
Alice and Nicole will share two pieces of alarming news with the Travelers: Teyvat’s borders are becoming unstable, partially due to the Moon-Prayer Night, and strage “phantoms” appear all over Nod-Krai. Players will need to join forces with Albedo, Durin and the Wanderer to uncover their secrets.
In Version Luna III, a number of Mondstadt characters linked to the Hexenzirkel will also receive the “Hexerei” buffs. First, you need to complete Alice’s Witch’s Homework quests that are tailored to each of the participating characters – Venti, Mona, Albedo, Durin, Klee, Sucrose, Fischl and Razor. Each quest unfolds a unique story for the respective character and even changes their Constellation effects!
Having at least two such Hexerei characters in a party unlocks the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, significantly boosting their combat capabilities. For example, Venti regains a part of his Archon power. When his Stormeye is active, his Normal Attack will be transformed into powerful “Windsunder Arrows” that can pierce enemies and have a chance to further extend the Duration of his Stormeye.
The precise effects of the Hexerei enhancements can be found in the new gadget, The Little Witch’s Diary. Completing the pre-requisite quest will also give you an option to invite Razor, Fischl or Sucrose to your party.

Phase I: Durin (Pyro Sword), Venti (Anemo Bow), Jahoda (Anemo Bow)
Durin, a 5-star Pyro Sword wielder who possesses two distinctly different combat forms, and can be served either as a team support or a strong damage dealer. Once a dragon from the fairytale world of Simulanka, Durin was later granted a human body through Albedo’s alchemy and the transfer of the dragon Durin’s heart energy. This unique origin grants Durin dual powers: One reflects the pure soul of Simulanka, supporting the team by reducing enemies’ Elemental Resistance and dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
The other is imbued with Abyssal energy, excelling at unleashing devastating attacks on single targets and boosting his own Vaporize and Melt reaction DMG. Completing Durin’s Story Quest will reveal more secrets about the dragon and Hexenzirkel, and gain a special outfit reward for Durin.
Jahoda, the new 4-star Anemo Bow wielder, joins the adventure as well, showcasing her exceptional talents in team-healing and absorbing Elements to deal corresponding DMG.
