Then And Now

These games include including Fatal Fury Special, King of Fighters 2002, and slightly earlier predecessor of the recent Samurai Showdown release. Full of 2D spritely action, these fighting and blast em up experiences are a glimpse back to a company and console that had a huge impact on eastern gaming back in the 1990s. The NeoGeo launched back in 26 April 1990 and both its home console variant and the arcade cabinets developed by SNK were generally superior to their mainstream rivals at the time but by the time the mid 1990s came around high prices, and competing systems pushed the NeoGeo into a niche market mostly full of 2D fighters. This doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty on offer here, however.
SNK plans to expand the barrage of free titles as this year unfolds., giving players an ever bigger retro collection of games straight out of the NeoGeo cabinet. Whether you are looking to find out what all the fuss is about or finally finish the bonus stages in Art of Fighting, head over to Twitch now to claim this SNK offer and prepare for even more later this year, including members can look forward to additional free titles including Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The Last Blade 2, Metal Slug 2, The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition, Sengoku 3 and King of the Monsters.
