PICO XR and Intel have opened up registrations for combat on a very different field of play. The two technology brands have come together to launch a VR sporting event that aims to span the globe, without the logistical nightmare of going to the Olympics. Players able to pull on a VR headset and swing an imaginary bat will be able to put their name down to compete in remote rounds of sporting activities. While we all love wining, the best of the best VR athletes will have a chance at a €1000 cash prize and the opportunity to compete at the iconic Bird’s Nest stadium.
Starting on 17 October, the All-in-One Sports VR competition begins across PICO branded headsets.. Players who signed up will get to play basketball, squash, shooting, boxing, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, soccer, hockey. TempoClub competitions also begin alongside this, ranking competitors all the way up until 3rd November.

PICO has confirmed that ranking data will update weekly. Player positions will be displayed once participants open the competition games and on the PICO website. Final awards will be judged using the 3-week total play scoring, and selected finalists waved through to the Bird’s nest Stadium, Beijing National Stadium to play in person.
