Black Eye Games has announced that its open-world MMORPG Gloria Victis will leave early access after nearly six years. Developers are targeting the 1.0 launch for February 7, 2023.
Since 2016, developers have deployed over 350 weekly updates and “about 3x smaller hotfixes and server-side patches,” according to the team’s blog post. “We did our best to prove that we love our game and that we have the deepest respect for those who supported us during the EA stage.”
Launch will bring a number of interesting things to the GV community, including:
- new infrastructure and server solutions
- fresh launch servers to offer players a “clean slate” and to “experience the rush of launching a new game on a level playing field”
- New Beginning servers will launch on February 7th
- players can choose between existing Legacy Servers and the New Beginning Servers
- Legacy Servers will not wipe any progress, characters, or inventories
- New Beginning servers will have an all-new database. Existing characters cannot be brought to New Beginning servers
