Goldin And Funko Team Up For POP!250 eBay Live Collectibles Event

Goldin has spent plenty of time moving high-end gaming collectibles, rare trading cards, and other wallet-threatening nostalgia through its auctions. Next week, the company is putting the spotlight on Funko with POP!250, an eBay Live event built around a new run of one-of-one Pop! figures and 250 years of American pop culture. The livestream is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m. ET on Goldin’s eBay Live channel. Goldin founder and CEO Ken Goldin will host alongside television personality Kyle Brandt and Goldin Pop Culture Consignment Director Alex Fung.

POP!250 is an ambitious attempt to turn American history and pop culture into a decade-by-decade Funko collection. The project features 26 influential figures, presented as a timeline stretching across 250 years. Funko says the lineup will encompass innovators, athletes, cultural figures, leaders, and barrier breakers, though the company is still rolling out reveals rather than publishing the entire final collection at once.

For collectors, the main draw is the promise of the largest offering of one-of-one Pop! figures Funko has produced to date. The event will also reveal two previously unseen Modern Era collectibles. That means this isn’t just your usual livestream. It will be e a live, limited availability collecting event, with viewers able to watch the reveals, engage with the hosts, and bid on pieces during the stream.

It is an interesting fit for Goldin, which has increasingly broadened its reach beyond sports cards and game collectibles into the wider pop-culture market. The company’s auction model makes particular sense for one-of-one Funko releases, where scarcity is not just part of the pitch, it is the entire business plan. For fans accustomed to hunting convention exclusives, retailer variants, and discontinued vaulted figures, the live-bidding format adds another layer of pressure to the usual fear of missing out.

The POP!250 project is also timed to the wider celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026. Whether every historical figure translates naturally into the big-headed vinyl treatment remains to be seen, but Funko Pop! collectors will at least have an unusually limited set to chase.

Collectors can tune in through Goldin on eBay Live on September 23 at 6 p.m. ET. Funko is also posting ongoing POP!250 reveals and information about the 26-icon timeline on its official event page.
