Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic have presented a brand-new trailer, revealing the release date of the anticipated RPG Gothic 1 Remake. The Valley of the Mines will welcome new and veteran nameless heroes on 5 June 2026. Taking its origins from the 2001 classic, the carefully recreated adventure is coming to PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Gothic 1 Remake is an open-world RPG that returns to the absolute classic of the genre. The game brings players back to the prison colony—a piece of land sealed off by a magical barrier. There is no escape, no justice. Only the law of the sword and the right of might rule the colony. Players step into the role of a nameless man, cast into the Valley of the Mines with a life sentence. They have to make their way to the top of the local society, using every possibility to survive. However, this isn’t just about survival, as the bigger forces are sleeping in the depths of these lands, waiting to break free.
