Grab Your Phone, Pick A Class, And Try Out Sunderfolk Before Launch

Secret Door and Dreamhaven are out to change game night, announcing the new turn-based RPG Sunderfolk.

Put the table away and pack the dice up, this game night is going to be a little different. Developer Secret Door and Publisher Dreamhaven are about to pop the board up on the big screen with a new RPG Sunderfolk. The inventive twist on the traditional tabletop experience will head to the couch, asking players to pick up their phones and roll for adventure on a co-operative fantasy experience through the magical and dangerous Sunderlands.

Coming to Steam, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on 23 April 2025, this new quest will set you back $49.99 USD or local equivalent, but it seems like you’ll only need one copy for every party full of phones. Grab your mobile and use it to control the action as players pick from a range of classes and play your cards to win the day. Arcanists, Bards, Berserkers, Pyromancers, Rangers, and Rogues can party up to pick their way through dangerous territory and overcome deadly challenges. Chose the cards to playa and actions to take, and co ordinate to take down problems in a fluid twist on turn based combat. There is no set turn order between heroes and enemies, so picking the right action at any point in time is crucial to overcoming whatever awaits.

Between missions, players can head back to the village of Arden to rebuild this safe space and unlock vendors, earn rewards, equip loot, and find the best trinkets. Swap and change playstyles then head back out again for more action with up to 3 other friends.
Sunderfolk seems like a charming twist on the multiplayer RPG that will bring friends together on person, and you can try it out now. Sunderfolk’s First Look Demo showcases the game’s early experience with all playable characters unlocked. If you don’t already have a GeForce Now Account, you’ll be able to play for free. A paid account will benefit from longer game sessions, although I’m no so sure how it’ll work in VR. Maybe stick to the TV instead. Head over to the GeForce Now website to sign up, log in, and start streaming the alluring world of Sunderfolk.
