Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Comes to Nintendo Switch 2

The developers from Arc System Works and publisher Cygames have announced a major update for the fighting Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The version 2.60 launches on September 17, introducing new playable character, Id. Once an adversary of the crew in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, he joins the roster as a changed swordsman from Zegagrande with draconic abilities.

The update will also introduce a new stage, a new system mechanic, balance adjustments for several characters, and additional features. Moreover, along with this expansion Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will launch on Nintendo Switch 2.

However, this is not all. The developers prepared a special bonus for the players who link save data from Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. The rewards include bonus items in GBVSR, such as a weapon skin for Id and a Lyria (Shaman of Salvation) lobby avatar. Save data linking with GBVSR will be available from September 17.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the revamped sequel to GBVS, offering a more accessible and enjoyable experience. Simplified input options make it easier for newcomers to engage in strategic matches. The original title blends fighting game action with RPG-style adventure. The game offers a brand-new story set in Granblue Fantasy world, intuitive battle system and character progression.

The game available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam), including free demo version.
