GreedFall 2: The Dying World, currently available in Early Access, is in for a major update 0.2 on March 27th. The patch will introduce a variety of new content and additions, battle system changes and bug fixes. Additionally, players will also experience the latest addition: the hub. It is the center of attention of the latest dev update, so let’s check it out!
In GreedFall 2, your hub is your very own ship that is accessible from any level via your World map, except when you’re in a dungeon. Once you’ve acquired your ship, it will allow you to properly prepare for your journey. Come next update, here are some actions you will be able to perform in your hub: rest, manage your party and their equipment, access your Workshop and Chest, teleport to any previously visited levels.
In the future, the developers also plan to add other functions, such as buying materials from a merchant, accessing romance scenes and your character’s messages, welcoming some rescued NPCs on board.
“You can also encounter your companions on board. Watch Sybille and Ludwig play cards, Nilan carve stone, and Fausta write letters. You might even be able to get to know them better if you so choose… Of course, if being at the helm of the ship is not your cup of tea, you can always ask Alvida for a little help. After all, one can’t deny the value of a Naut’s knowledge when it comes to ships!”
GreedFall 2: The Dying World – Update 0.2 Introduces:
- The continuation to the main storyline;
- A new region and its biome: Olima, City of Stars. Olima is a vast new area with plenty to see. The malichor ravages parts of this city, making it fall further into disrepair. Not only will you get to explore the city, you’ll also be able to head out into the wilds surrounding it.
- A new companion: Safia, a member of the Bridge Alliance, who arrives on wings of wisdom to aid you and your party on the perilous journey across the continent. Anti-imperialist at heart, Safia is a seasoned explorer with a curiosity for the world around her. Her age and experience help keep her grounded, and with it, comes wisdom beyond compare.
