Glory Jam and Soft Source Publishing have presented a release date reveal trailer for the upcoming action adventure Grim Trials. Inspired by heavy metal culture, the game promises dynamic battles and moving music wrapped into a stylish 2D art. The project prepares to launch for PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on August 20, 2026.
Grim Trials is a roguelite, which takes players to the world of heavy metal. The story follows Avelin, a young woman who dies and is recruited as one of Death’s Reapers. She must hunt impure souls, face her demons, and fight through an underworld. She aims to become a full-fledged Reaper for a chance to reunite with her still-living love.
