Some gaming eyewear collaborations lean heavily into flashy branding. Others try to capture the spirit of the source material. Based on what we’ve seen so far, GUNNAR’s latest Fallout release appears to fall squarely into the second category. The company has officially launched the Fallout Lucky 38 glasses, a new pair inspired by the iconic casino tower from Amazon’s Fallout television series. As fans of both Fallout and gaming eyewear around here, this is one that immediately caught our attention.
We’ve previously spent time with GUNNAR’s Fallout Brotherhood of Steel, Alienware Bermuda Triangle, and Cyberpunk 2077 Dex glasses, and each brought something different to the table. The Lucky 38 looks poised to continue that trend with a design that stands apart from the more militaristic Brotherhood of Steel frames.
Rather than focusing on power armor aesthetics, the Lucky 38 draws inspiration from the vintage glamour of New Vegas. The glasses feature retro round lenses housed in a silver alloy frame, complete with removable leather side shields that evoke the old-world luxury and mystery associated with the legendary casino. It’s a surprisingly classy look for a franchise better known for rusty metal, irradiated wildlife, and questionable life choices in the Mojave.
Under the hood, the Lucky 38 includes the features longtime GUNNAR users expect. The glasses utilize the company’s patented lens technology, feature flexible spring hinges, and include G-Shield Plus coatings for anti-reflective and smudge-resistant performance. They also block harmful blue light and provide 100% UV protection.
The package itself appears geared toward collectors. Each pair ships with a premium collector’s case, a themed microfiber pouch, and a custom cleaning cloth featuring New Vegas-inspired artwork.

At $99, the Fallout Lucky 38 glasses sit comfortably alongside many of GUNNAR’s licensed offerings. The bigger question, at least for us, is how they perform in day-to-day use. On paper, the design might be one of the company’s most stylish gaming collaborations yet, balancing recognizable Fallout themes without feeling like cosplay eyewear.
Needless to say, after reviewing the Brotherhood of Steel, Bermuda Triangle (my personal favorite), and Dex glasses, we’re eager to get our hands on this pair for a full review.
