Developer Supergiant Games is back with some super giant news: roguelike dungeon crawler Hades II v1.0 arrives September 25. Among the additions coming in v1.0, Hades II offers cross-saves between the Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2 versions and the version on Steam. If you’ve been playing in Early Access and wish to continue the journey on Nintendo’s game consoles, you’ll be able to transfer your save data through a simple in-game menu.
The game has been in Early Access since May 2024, with the developers taking feedback from the community and using it to fully realize Hades II’s potential. The result is the biggest game ever made by Supergiant Games, and one the team hopes will be a worthy successor.
In Hades II, the sequel to the original god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler, players take on the role of the immortal Princess of the Underworld, Melinoe. Explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment.
“Battle beyond the Underworld starting September 25, 2025 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. To all our Early Access players, thank you so much for all the inspiration and support! And to all our prospective players, thank you for your patience. We can’t wait to share the full game with you later this month!”
