Developer Unfrozen revealed a brand-new feature coming to turn-based strategy Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era. Welcome the Spectator Mode, featured for the first time ever in the series. Check out the video above and watch Ana from Heroes Take Turns introduce the system.
Spectator Mode would certainly go a long way for streaming and online tournaments, were the game to host them.
“For the first time in the history of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, a feature requested by many, many fans over the years enters the spotlight: Spectator Mode! A tool that’s valuable both in tournaments and among friends, spectator mode allows you to join a match and observe as other players face one another while they slowly but steadily conquer the map!”
About Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era:
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era promises a return to the origins of the legendary saga, inviting both veterans and new players alike to explore Jadame, a mysterious continent in turmoil. The game will offer three single-player modes: Campaign, Randomly Generated Map and Skirmish. There are also three multiplayer modes to enjoy: Classic Mode, One-Hero Mode & Arena.
There will be six factions in Early Access: Temple (Classic Knights), Necropolis (Undead and Vampires), Sylvan (Nature and Fey Folk), Dungeon (Dark Elves and Underground Creatures), Hive (Demonic Insectoids), and the Schism, the sixth mysterious faction. The devs plan to expand the list in the future updates and DLC.
