As part of their Heroes 2.0 initiative, Blizzard Entertainment announced today upcoming content entitled The Call of Kel’Thuzad for their break-out MOBA, Heroes of the Storm.
While there isn’t much information yet as to what content will accompany the release of the Archlich of Naxxramas as a playable character, we have a brilliantly animated trailer and a Hero Page outlining Kel’Thuzad’s gameplay mechanics.
Kel’Thuzad takes on the role of a ranged assassin with a high focus on area damage and denial. With the combination of signature abilities like Death and Decay and mobility impairing frost attacks like Frost Blast and Frost Nova, Kel’Thuzad will serve as a great companion to heroes who can group up enemies. Even if he isn’t paired well, his Chains of Kel’Thuzad ability will ensure maximum devastation to his foes.
