High School Startup, MXers, Kickstarts Modular Earbud Models

MXers Audio, a small business began by a group of high school sophomores, has turned to Kickstarter to fund their latest round of modular earbuds. The new Wireless and XBass models consist of detachable buds, allowing you to swap out drivers to suit your taste. This also allows you swap out parts that may be broken for less than the cost of replacing the whole pair.

This impressive group of students founded their company a two years ago with the Classix design. Since that time, they’ve gained attention in the media for their success. The eight-person team has currently earned $11.5k of their $15K funding target with 15 days left to go. You can snag a pair of your own by backing at the $30 level or higher.
