Developer HoYoverse is back with the new “Keeping up with Star Rail” video, outlining Cipher and her contributions to battle. This kitty thief left quite the impression on the community after her contribution to the Flame-Chase Journey in Version 3.3.
Cifera, the Fleet-Footed Traveler, is a 5-star Quantum Nihility character that largely fills the sub-DPS role, shining in teams with Feixiao and Acheron. When using her Skill, she deals Quantum damage to one designated enemy and adjacent targets. Before the Skill deals damage, Cipher has a chance to weaken the ability’s target and reduce its damage dealt, while also increasing her own attack for a number of turns.
When she uses her Skill or Ultimate, the primary target becomes her “Patron”. When the “Patron” is attacked by another ally, Cipher immediately launches a follow-up. Her ultimate uses the tally to deal damage to the Patron, and resets the tally count, allowing the cycle of thievery begin anew.
“We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the shape on top of “Spirithief” Bartholos’s head isn’t actually circular. It is the shape of a droplet as befitting the study of aerodynamics. The shape of the “Spirithief”‘s head is more aerodynamically suitable and better for fast movements compared to Cipher’s skull, hence, Spirithief gains one win, and Cipher remains at zero.
Cipher zero, “Spirithief” one. This is the second victory in a row. Cipher zero, “Spirithief” two. Three victories in a row. Tldr: “Spirithief” Bartholos has won the game!”
