Developer HoYoverse is back with a new character trailer for Honkai: Star Rail. It focuses on Phainon, the newest 5-star Physical Destruction hero, joining the roster in Version 3.4.
“See that white halo surrounding it? That’s the corona, a blazing crown of light. But why can’t we see it most of the time? Because the brightest lights cast the deepest shadows. Only when darkness falls can the crown truly shine.”
Story-wise, this humble but passionate soul is proclaimed to be the Deliverer of Amphoreus, the hero of the prophecy that will save the world from the Dark Tide. He hails from Aedes Elysiae, a remote frontier village isolated from the world, that now lives on only in cryptic legends. Having lost his home, this Chrysos Heir is resolute about protecting others from the same fate.
During combat, Phainon accumulates “Coreflames” either when using his skill, or when being the target of an ally’s skill. Once he reaches a certain number, he can unleash his Ultimate to transform and create a “Territory”, battling enemies in his new powerful form.
His combat power greatly increases, but allies temporarily leave the battlefield, with their bonus effects remaining active. Upon transforming, Phainon unlocks new abilities, channeling the powers of the Titans.
When he’s in the team, the team’s Technique Point cap increases. His Technique can instantly defeat normal enemies within a certain range without triggering combat.
