Developer HoYoverse kicked off the pre-download for Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4: For the Sun is Set to Die. You can take advantage of this feature to get the bulk of the files and significantly lower the amount of time you’d need to spend to finalize the game after the maintenance. V3.4 launches on Wednesday, July 2, to continue the main story of Amphoreus and start answering some burning questions. The Chrysos Heirs have fallen, but Phainon (5-star Physical Destruction) is still there, shouldering the burden of being the world’s Deliverer.
During the maintenance, Trailblazers will not be able to log in to the game. But there will be some free Stellar Jades to claim when it’s over!
The developers have also provided the pre-download FAQ:
- While pre-downloading on PC, you can continue playing the game. The pre-installation file size is roughly 5.8 GB.
- Mobile users (Android and iOS) are unable to play the game while the pre-download commences, the developers also suggest using a Wi-Fi network due to the update’s size (2.6 GB).
- For PlayStation, if sufficient storage space is available on the device, the game will automatically begin pre-installing Honkai: Star Rail after a short period of time following being launched.
