Developer HoYoverse is back to announce Honkai: Star Rail – Version 4.0 special program that will kick off this Friday, February 6th. Prepare for the departure to Planarcadia!.. and for the upcoming V4.1 teases to come on the weekend following the special program.
“Amidst the scorching fires of the cosmos, the god is nowhere to be found, but THEY left a reward for those who desire the Elation… “One Minute of Godhood”. The Express’s next stop: Planarcadia!”
Titled “No Aha at Full Moon”, the new version will see the heroes venture on a whole new adventure. So far, there is not all that much that we know about Version 4.0 or Planarcadia as a whole, but here’s a short overview.
The threat of Destruction compelled the cosmos to unite once again, and everyone now looks toward other Aeons involved. The Express once crashed into and departed from “Planarcadia.” There, Aha graced the pursuers of Elation with a reward: join THEIR game and become an “Aeon” for a minute.
The new version comes with the increase in the system requirements and a whole new playable Path: The Elation. The first two characters to follow it are also coincidentally the two newcomers we’ll meet right off the bat on Planarcadia: Yao Guang and Sparxie. But that is not all, Black Swan and Sparkle will get their Novaflare buffs as well.
“An Aeonic game, a paradise of Elation. Geniuses and oddballs, all gathered here. Ready to Become Aha? Of course, you could also choose to surpass Aha, overthrow Aha, manipulate Aha, take Aha hostage, assassinate Aha, ignore Aha… Huh? Hahahahahahaha!”
In the image below, you can see some of the new and returning characters we’ll meet in the new region: Yao Guang, Blade, Evanescia, Sparxie, Silver Wolf, Nihilux, and Ashveil.
Note that these aren’t all the characters that will be introduced during the 4.x cycle. For one, we are still missing the Elation Trailblazer, who will likely obtain their abilities similar to the Harmony version. Secondly, that is entirely not enough characters – going by 2 per patch, with one odd one out there – it only covers 4 patches, bringing us as deep as 4.3.
