The developers from Hypixel Studios have prepared a third major update for the sandbox adventure game Hytale. Marking the end of the first month in Early Access, the patch brings new game features and improvements. Moreover, now the team prepares a new pre-release path system, which allows testing the content before bundling it into stable updates.
However, this is not the only good news. Beyond regular updates, the developers are crafting a storyline expansion, which includes large content drops and Cursebreaker storyline advancement. This narrative arc will guide Hytale through Early Access, culminating in the full release.
Update 3 Key Features
- Taming: Certain friendly animals can now be tamed using their favorite food. Tamed animals can be petted, fed, and in some cases milked, sheared, or mounted. They no longer flee from players unless attacked.
- Map Markers: Players can place custom map markers with customizable names, icons, and colors. Markers can be shared in multiplayer and toggled via gameplay settings.
- Localization: Brazilian-Portuguese and Russian are now available as in-game language options, with more languages planned. Community translators contributed significantly to this effort.
- Avatar Presets: Players can save and swap between up to five avatar customizations.
- Sickles: New tool capable of harvesting multiple crops in one swing.
- Climbing: Updated climbing mechanics now allow side-stepping, dropping, and rotating around ropes.
- Fire and Flamethrower: A new fire spread system.
- Grass: Random block ticking now enables grass spread.
- Anchor UI System: Server plugins can now add UI elements to client pages, such as the world map, expanding modding capabilities.
However, it’s only a small piece of the changes the update brings. For more details, visit the official Patch Notes page.
