HYTE is taking some of the design ideas that made its more expensive PC cases stand out and bringing them down to a much friendlier price point. The HYTE Y50 RGB Essential Aesthetic Case is now available for $99.99, offering gamers a dual-chamber layout, panoramic tempered glass, plenty of cooling support, and a surprisingly colorful selection of finishes.
First shown at Computex earlier this year, the Y50 RGB keeps HYTE’s distinctive three-piece panoramic glass design while adding several features that give builders more flexibility. The case supports traditional E-ATX, ATX, microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, along with rear-connect platforms including ASUS BTF, Gigabyte STEALTH, and MSI Project ZERO.
GPU placement gets some attention as well, with horizontal mounting support and a seven-slot expansion layout. The case can accommodate up to nine fans, while both the top and side panels support 360mm-class radiators. To add additional value, HYTE also includes four ARGB fans with the case, so buyers aren’t starting from an entirely empty chassis.
For cooling, the top supports three 120mm or two 140mm fans and radiators up to 410mm long and 46mm thick. The side can take three 120mm fans and radiators up to 410mm long and 83mm thick. If air cooling is more your style, the case can handle CPU coolers up to 160mm in height. There’s also room for two bottom 120mm fans and a rear 120mm fan.
For those who haven’t moved to NVMe-only systems, storage includes up to six 2.5-inch drives and two 3.5-inch drives, The front I/O provides two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, and a combined audio/microphone jack.
The HYTE Y50 RGB is available in five colors: Snow White, Pitch Black, Black Cherry, Strawberry Milk, and Taro Milk. Gaming PCs have spent years being aggressively black, so having a case that can actually match the rest of a desk setup is a welcome change.
